Latest Projects....

I have been such a slacker lately to my blogs.
I really have done things, I just have not written and shared what I have done.

So here I will update on a few of the things I have recently published.

First:
Here is what I published about Jared's Eagle Project - Click HERE!

He collected over 1800 shoes for Haiti!
Way to go Jared!!!

2nd:
It was only 3 years in the making but I finally published the book about our CA adventure with our family in Oct 2007.

It looks like the site to get my previews is down for maintenance right now, so I will have to get more latter.

So more to come!!

Proclamation & Young Women's Values

I am so excited....
I just did two very special books recently.

#1
The first was the Family Proclamation illustrated with pictures from our family life. This is such a perfect "coffee table" book to have in our front room (Parlor, as I like to call it) This is a great way to keep in the forefront of our mind what is truly MOST important.
Check it out here: Family Proclamation Book

And also in the same vein
#2

A Young Womens Value Book for my daughter
A great way to celebrate being a Young Woman to remember and internalize
the Young Womens values. I can't wait for it to come and have Joyze see the completed book.
Check it out here: Young Women Values Book

One of the greatest things about both of these books is that now that they are made it is so easy to copy and use the idea (we call it a template) and make YOUR OWN with YOUR PICTURES. JUST ASK ME HOW!!!!

So Easy..... your kids can do it!!!

One thing I love about Heritage Makers is it is so easy! Everyone can publish and make wonderful heritage projects to express themselves. I have helped 80 year old's down to kids. I am so excited we just ordered (dont even have it yet but will probably get it monday) a book Slade did all about himself.
It was so fun for me to see him & his personality come out through this book he wrote about himself. I only helped him get started and showed him how to do things and he went to town, picking out his pictures, placing them on the pages and writing HIS STORY!

I can't wait to see it in print!!!
I know he will love it and be so PROUD of his book...His story about HIMSELF!!
And just think Mom did not make this book about him....HE DID!!!

Help your kids get started on their book about themselves!!!

Thankful we printed

This past month in March, my husbands father passed away. Only 10 months after his wonderful wife passed away last year. Right after her funeral last year I felt such a need for my children to have a book in their hands to help them remember their special "Nana". I didn't feel like I had much time to devote to it but I wanted something NOW! So using the pictures I already had scanned for them and writing a short 1 page life sketch I was on my way. As I started I was only going to do a book on Nana... but as I worked on it, I could not do Nana without Bompa because they just go hand in hand in our life and our mind. So this is what I put together......

After putting it together, before I even published it, my husband wanted me to share it with his dad. So we went over together and showed it to him on his big screen TV so he could see each page (using the preview mode from my computer). As we looked at it page by page and I read to him what it said, it put tears in his eyes and tears in ours. He was so appreciative and wanted to share it with all of his children and grandchildren. He decided to give it as a Christmas present to every single one of them.

I was so thankful for his foresight and generosity as he slipped away from us. We already had a special book in everyone's hands to help them remember their special grandparents...Nana and Bompa.

Who is who??

My youngest daughter is one of the youngest of all the cousins on both sides of the family. She has 71 cousins and 18 Aunts and Uncles! She often gets confused as so who is who. So to help her understand her place in her family we used the "Me and my family Tree" template to create a wonderful book that explains it all....

This is a fun book for her to look at and read. It has helped her to understand her place in the family and where all of those special people that she loves fit in!

Here is the Template I used!

Let your family who and how the important people are connected.

Celebrating Life together!

We did it....we celebrated 30 years of married life!
How blessed we have been. In celebration of this wonderful event we took family pictures. (That is the gift I love most every anniversary) We got Stephanie to take incredible family photo's. It was a fun afternoon together in downtown Tempe and we did our photo shoot.

In honor and celebration of this important event and milestone in our life we put together a book (it was really easy because we used an "Anniversary Template" and just needed to plug in our pictures.

Look at this great Ruby Anniversary Book...who do you know who has been married 40 years?

Love these TEMPLATES!!!

How I love using all these great TEMPLATES we have access to. It is so fun to use another persons great ideas and make a personalized book.
I saw this great idea (that I had never even thought of) and LOVED it. This is a book for this years LDS primary theme. This years theme is "My Eternal Family" each month they focus on a particular aspect of that theme. There is a scripture and song that is used and learned that month too. Mindy Evans (a terrific designer) put together an awesome book using this them as the framework. I realized how helpful it would be to make this book for my last primary age child to help her understand and learn from this important theme. Just LOOK!!!!

I was excited to make this book for Kimree but I am even more glad I did since we got it in the mail. The first day she sat down and read through the whole thing. She spent about 2 hours singing each and every song. What a great learning tool!!!
These books are so awesome, we can help them learn the values and important things WE want them to learn. Each sunday she takes this with her to Church and uses it. She also read through it again and again at home.
How I love using these Templates to make PERSONALIZED positive impacts in my childrens life.
